Reversible scraper and you have a great tool for planting aquatic plants. Using an up and down action with the aquarium scraper,the algae on your aquarium glass will disappear. Keep the aquarium scraper in contact with the glass at all times for the best results. Use soft yellow sponge to remove slime or soft algae from glass and plastic surfaces. Use the green nylon scourer for harder to remove algae on glass surfaces only. The fork at the opposite end of the sponge can be used for the replacement of aquatic plants. It also can be used to remove unwanted matter from the bottom of the aquarium.

Like their frog and toad cousins, salamanders begin their lives in a water-breathing larval stage. These salamander "tadpoles" resemble stunted adults with flatter tails and feathery, external gills. There's a few species, however, that spend their entire lives in this stage...at least, they're supposed to. Axolotls are large, hardy, cold-water salamanders that normally retain their gills for life.

Original tail is carrot shaped black with 5-6 white bands. The regenrated tail is heart shaped with little pattern. Bio balls are small, pegged plastic balls mainly used as the biological media in wet/dry filters. These little plastic bio balls have an immense amount of surface area for the growth of bacteria for filtration. There are approx. 20 bio balls per litre. They can be used as the biological media in salt water and fresh water aquariums as well as ponds. They are really simple to use: place into a mesh bag and drop into the pond filter. Do not clean the bioballs once they are cycled, or you will risk killing off all the beneficial bacteria that you need to filter your water. Another use for bioballs: fill your tank's overflow box.

Black Headed Python - ASPIDITES MELANOCEPHALUS

This python grows to a length of 3 m (9 ft), although average specimens are slightly smaller. The head is narrow and is covered in shiny black scales that also extend down the neck and throat for several inches. The body is covered with smooth, glossy scales in shades of black and dark grey, brown, gold and cream arranged in a striped or brindled pattern. This striking pattern gives the snake its name.

The Bobtail is a large lizard (30-35 cm) with a heavily armored body and can be found in various colors ranging from dark brown to cream. The Bobtail has a short, stumpy tail, and moves rather slowly. Male and female Bobtails stay together for about eight weeks during the breeding season, then separate. They sometimes reunite the following year. The female produces live young, one or two at a time.

We have a wide range of non toxic coloured gravel suitable for use in all types of aquariums. All gravel should be washed thoroughly prior to use. Epoxy or plastic coated gravel should never be boiled, as this will loosen the coating. Usually the darker gravels will show the fish colors best. Wool is an effective mechanical filter media that removes fine particles and prevents other filter media from clogging. Filter wool contributes to polishing pond water and helps produce ultra clear conditions. Non-toxic and chemically inert. Safe for fish and plants. Rinse the Filter Wool thoroughly before use.

To maintain biological filtration, do not change all filter media at the same time. Stagger filter media replacement to allow beneficial bacteria a chance to re-establish. Use water drawn from the pond to rinse established filter media. For optimum filtration, replace the Filter Wool monthly or sooner if necessary.
